Before the start of the second half of the 2022/23 season, Junior Lokosa, a former top scorer in the Nigeria Premier Football League, completed his signing to Remo Stars on Friday.

Lokosa, who will represent the Sky Blue Stars of Ikenne, is overjoyed and declares that scoring goals for the team is his first aim.

It’s good to be back in the NPFL. Playing for Remo Stars will be a new challenge for me because the team has established itself as one of the best in the league and has a lot of aspirations.

“After qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup at the end of the previous campaign, the club is motivated to win championships and rank among the best Nigerian teams that regularly appear in the continent.

I’ll be content to do my share to help the squad finish the second half of the season among the top three teams in group B and secure a spot in the Super 6 Playoffs.

As a striker, my job is to score goals, and I was the NPFL’s leading scorer. I hope to do the same for Remo Stars.

Before joining Kano Pillars in May 2017, Lokosa played for First Bank FC.

He won the Eunisell Boot Award after his second season with Pillars after his 19 goals propelled him to the top of the NPFL top scorers chart and earned him N3.8 million (N200,000 for each goal).

He joined Espérance Sportive de Tunis in 2019, won the CAF Champions League, and then transferred to Simba FC in Tanzania after tryouts in China.
