Prior to the 30-day Ramadan fast, no less than 1000 Muslims in Kaduna got food supplies and cash from a church on Wednesday.

On Thursday, the fasting for Ramadan is anticipated to start.

Muslims all throughout the world observe the 30-day fast as a yearly ritual.

Bags of food and money were donated to the Kano Road Central Mosque in Kaduna by the Church of Christ Evangelical and Life Intercessory Mission in Sabon Tasha, Kaduna.

The General Overseer of the Church, Yohanna Buru, presented the items to the recipients and stated that the goal of the gesture was to promote religious tolerance, harmony, and peace between the two faiths.

The current hardship that many Nigerians are experiencing with the lack of cash and the increase in the price of gasoline, according to Mr. Buru, made the gesture imperative at this time.

He claimed that during Ramadan last year, the church gave sacks of rice, maize, and other food supplies to needy Muslims in more than five states.

We included mats and plastic kettles in this year’s handout so that people might stay at home and pray for God to end the escalating insecurity, inflation, and other issues that are endangering peace and stability in the nation.

As we purchased 50 bags of corn and millets to share also in other areas of the North, we are aiming to help around 1000 needy Muslims, according to Buru.

The clergy emphasized the importance of adhering to the principles of the Bible and the Qur’an while urging the Muslim faithful to increase their prayer frequency throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

He made a plea to well-meaning members of society to aid the underprivileged and lessen the suffering of the weak.

One of the Association of People Living with Disability’s leaders, Hassan Mohammed, thanked the church for the kindness as he accepted the food supplies.

According to Mr. Mohammed, the church has been providing them with food and grains during Ramadan for the past ten years.

He asked God to bless them for constantly thinking of them.

“We will use the food grains to feed our loved ones for the next 30 days, including our children.”

We greatly value the assistance of our Christian brothers and sisters because it was provided when we most needed it and no one else seemed to care.

He pleaded with the rich Muslims in his community to provide food so that they may stay at home and pray for the country.

Several bags of wheat were also provided to a few Almajirai state schools, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.

Ibrahim Igabi, one of the recipients from the Islamic schools, thanked the Church for the kindness and asked to God to provide them many blessings.
