Former Nigeria deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, has been found guilty of organ trafficking by a United Kingdom court.
Furthermore convicted guilty were his wife Beatrice, daughter Sonia, and the case’s doctor, Obinna Obeta.
The jury concluded that they planned to lure the victim to London so they could take advantage of him for his kidney.
That is the first verdict of its kind under the Modern Slavery Act, according to the UK Guardian.
