As at 12:31, Fire gutted a paint shop near Balogun Afin in the Ita-Kure District of the city of Ilorin is where more than 38million goods destroyed.
Hassan Hakeem Adekunle, the State Fire Service’s spokesman, claimed that the shop caught fire out of the blue, destroying a storey building and a cottage that had been built next to it.
In addition to the two residential buildings that were completely destroyed by the raging fire, he also revealed that five additional nearby shops had also been impacted.
In order to keep the fire from spreading to the next buildings, fire fighters were able to contain it.
Due to the chemical makeup of the burning materials and the late call from the caller, the leading fire officer of the crew blamed the inferno for the degree of the devastation it had caused the sympathisers.
