EFCC Nabs 18 Internet Fraud Suspects, a ‘Yahoo Yahoo’ School Owner

The Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 18 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud activities in different parts of Enugu, PRISTINEGIST reports.

Among the suspects is one Chigozie Philips, who runs Holy Family School Abakpa, Enugu, where he allegedly teaches aspiring cybercriminals how to defraud unsuspecting victims online. His 13 trainees who were also apprehended in the operation are Kingsley Okorie, Henry Chidiebere, Elochukwu Chukwuemeka Micheal, Nelson Nnaji, Joacin Kelvin, Kelechi Ibe, Chinonso James, Udeh Isaiah and Micheal Chukwuemeka.

The rest are Ifeanyi Ozor Bright, Etuma John, Okafor Chukwuemeka, Raymond Chinaza, Desmond James, Ozoma Chinonso Anthony, Uchenna Aka and Ozor Celestine.

The EFCC operatives recovered 20 mobile phones and 2 laptops from the suspects. They have confessed to their crimes and will be arraigned in court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
