BREAKING: Tinubu Meets Sultan Sokoto, Other Traditional Rulers At Presidential Villa

 

At the State House Conference Centre, Presidential Villa, Abuja, President Bola Tinubu is having his first meeting with delegates of traditional rulers from all around the nation.

The conference, which is reportedly a part of President Tinubu’s talks with different stakeholders around the nation, is anticipated to cover sensitive topics, such as how to promote national healing and unity.

The traditional leaders visited the President to congratulate him and give him the assurance that they would support him in the enormous task of leading the country, according to the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’adu Abubakar, who led his colleagues to the meeting.

He pointed out that the council of traditional rulers is full of experts from all domains of human endeavor, making the council a useful source of knowledge for the President to draw from. He also said that they will be available at all times to respond to his summons anytime he needs their services.

The Sultan added that the traditional leaders will assist Tinubu in his duty of putting the renewed hope agenda into action and that they had faith in his abilities to lead the nation toward progress.

Oba Adeyeye Enitan Adewusi, the Ooni of Ife, advised President Tinubu to utilize traditional leaders more, particularly in addressing insecurity, saying: “Mr. President, use us. Use us. Use us.”

Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Oba of Benin’s representative Elegushi of Ikate, Jaja of Opobo, Lamido of Adamawa, Emir of Zauzzau, Gbong Gwom Jos, Attah Igala, and Shehu of Borno are in attendance.
