The Department of State Services (DSS) has confirmed the arrest of suspended Godwin Emefiele, The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
PRISTINEGIST reported earlier on Friday that the arrest of CBN Governor, Emefiele by DSS hours after he was suspended by President Bola Tinubu.
But on Saturday, the DSS, released statement on its Twitter handle said “Currently Emefiele was not in its custody.”
But DSS spokesman, Peter Afunanya confirmed to PM NEWS on Saturday that Emefiele was arrested in Lagos, saying that a statement would be issued soon.
However, sources close to the suspended CBN governor said he had been detained at the DSS office in Ikoyi, Lagos.
