Flying Eagles Winger, Haliru Sarki Signs For UAE Club Al-Ain

Haliru Sarki, a winger for the Flying Eagles, has signed a long-term deal to play with United Arab Emirates champions Al Ain.

The young man’s transfer to Al Ain was confirmed by his team, Mahanaim FC, via their official Twitter account.

The club announced that, “We have reached an agreement with a top Asian club side, @alainclub for the transfer of our player and Nigeria U20 forward, Haliru Sarki. The deal is a long-term project,”

“We are wishing Sarki and his new club success in the coming season.”

Sarki was a key member of the Flying Eagles team that competed in the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Championship in Argentina last month.

The child competed for the Flying Eagles, who finished third at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, which was held in Egypt in March.

After goalkeeper Chijioke Aniagboso, he is the second member of the team to sign with an overseas team, this time FC Polissia Zhytomyr in Ukraine.
