The Kwara Kiddies YEG league’s governing board has announced its preparations to organize a one-day football coaching seminar exclusively for the participating team coaches.

The training aims to enhance the coaches’ understanding of fundamental aspects of the profession, particularly at the grassroots level.

Ibrahim Jatto, the league’s Chief Operating Officer, confirmed this initiative, stating that the primary objective of the seminar is to provide coaches with essential coaching principles.

Jatto emphasized the significance of the training, expressing his belief that it will contribute to the coaches’ knowledge base in the league.

He further stated that the seminar is expected to broaden the perspective of grassroots coaches and serve as a source of inspiration in their pursuit of excellence.

A noteworthy aspect of the seminar is that the participants will have a unique opportunity to learn from experienced National Professional Football League (NPFL) managers and veterans in Nigeria’s coaching industry.

However, prominent figures serving as resource persons for the seminar include Kwara United’s Technical Adviser, Coach Kabiru Dogo, Gombe United’s Coach Aliyu Zubair, and the Technical Director of Kwara Football Academy, Sam Elijah (MON). Additional contributors are Paul Odey, the former Technical Director of Kwara Football Academy and Coach of the Defunct Mobil Pegasus of Eket, Jerome Igbankwe, ABS FC Head Coach, and Ashifat Sulyman, the former Chief Coach of Kwara United.

According to Jatto, the seminar will encompass both practical and theoretical sessions and is scheduled to commence at 8 am on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at the Kwara Football Academy. At the conclusion of the program, certificates will be awarded to all participants.
