Senator Kyari Takes Over As APC’s NWC Leader

 

The leadership of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has undergone a transition with the appointment of Senator Abubakar Kyari, the Deputy National Chairman (North), following the resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman.

Senator Adamu tendered his resignation along with Senator Iyiola Omisore, the National Secretary, on Sunday.

On Monday morning, Senator Kyari, accompanied by a team of seven NWC members, convened a closed-door meeting in his office. Notably, the official car of the Deputy National Chairman was parked in the spot designated for the National Chairman, as reported by Politics Nigeria.

However, the attendees included Senator Emma Enukwu, the Deputy National Chairman (South); Salihu Lukman, the National Vice Chairman (North West); Salihu Mustapha, the National Vice Chairman (North East); Muazu Bawa, the National Vice Chairman (North Central); Issacs Kekemeke, the National Vice Chairman (South West); Ejoroma Arodiogu, the National Vice Chairman (South East); and Barrister Festus Fuanter, the Deputy National Secretary.

Later in the morning, Senator Omisore, the National Secretary, arrived at the secretariat and joined the meeting. Security measures were in place around the national secretariat during the proceedings.
