Operatives from the Department of State Services (DSS) have carried out the re-arrest of Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), after an altercation with Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) officials.
The re-arrest of Emefiele took place on Tuesday at the premises of a Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Justice Nicholas Oweibo had previously granted bail to the embattled CBN Governor, setting the bail amount at N20m.
However, as part of the ruling, Emefiele was to be remanded at the correctional center until the bail conditions were met.
