Kwara State: Dog Pursuit Claims Breadwinner’s Life

 

In Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, a tragic incident took place in which a man known as Mohammed Faworaja met an untimely demise while attempting to escape from a German shepherd dog.

The unfortunate event occurred near Asa Dam in the Warah-Osin area, located within the Ilorin West Local Government Area.

According to an anonymous source, the dog, which was a German shepherd, managed to break free and began pursuing the deceased.

While fleeing, Mohammed collided with an electric pole, resulting in internal bleeding and ultimately leading to his passing. At the scene of the incident, a can of fish (Sardine), which he had gone to buy, was found next to the pole.

Described as a friendly man, Mohammed Faworaja was believed to be no more than 33 years old and was the sole provider for his family.

However, the loss of their breadwinner has left his family devastated. Meanwhile, the authorities are currently investigating the matter.

During one of the prayers organized in his memory, Mohammed’s father expressed his grief. Having retired from his job, the father had entrusted everything to his son, further adding to the family’s sorrow in the wake of this tragic event.
