Ex Golden Eaglets Player Overcomes Financial Hurdles to Graduate

 

Mbetobong Samuel Ibanga, a former Golden Eagles player and graduate of Kwara Football Academy, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to a group of friends and family members who rallied together to support him during his toughest times.

With just one week left before his final year first-semester exams, Mbetobong said he was on the verge of dropping out of school due to financial constraints.

Overwhelmed by the tight situation and unable to find any hope in securing the necessary funds, he stated that he wrote a withdrawal letter to halt his education.

However, his dear friend Williams Udofia, from their childhood days, reached out to him and urged him not to give up; Without delay, Williams shared Mbetobong’s plight with his entire family. This compassionate gesture set off a chain of events that would change Mbetobong’s life forever.

Williams’ family, including his brothers and sisters, stepped up to the plate and generously contributed to cover Mbetobong’s outstanding school fees. But the incredible support did not stop there. Several other close friends and associates, including Blessing, Stephen Onimisi, his in-law Bro Innocent, and childhood friends Emma Otah, Amara Alaekwuka, Goodness Anenih, and Bro Goddy, also rallied behind him to ensure he could clear his dues and successfully write his exams.

Thanks to the unwavering support and selfless acts of these remarkable individuals, Mbetobong did not only pay for his final year school fees but tripled the amount, securing his future in education.

Filled with profound gratitude, Mbetobong acknowledges that their kindness and generosity not only saved his final year education but also saved him from the shame of abandoning his dreams. He is now counting the days with anticipation, as he prepares to graduate from the prestigious University of Calabar, a testament to his determination and the remarkable spirit of unity and support among his friends and family.
