Mary Nkeke: Army Rescues Another Chibok Girl

 

Another Chibok schoolgirl rescued by Nigerian Army

 

The Nigerian Army has announced the rescue of another Chibok schoolgirl, Mary Nkeke, who was abducted by Boko Haram terrorists in 2014.

 

The rescue operation took place on August 14, 2023, in Dikwa, Borno State, by the Joint Task Force Northeast, Operation Hadin Kai.

 

Mary Nkeke, 27 years old, was among the 276 schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram from the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok on April 14, 2014.

 

She was identified as number 55 on the list of abducted Chibok girls released by the Nigerian Army.

 

The Army said that Mary Nkeke was in good health and receiving medical attention at a military facility.

 

Also, the Army commended the gallantry and dedication of the troops of Taskforce Dikwa for the successful rescue mission.

 

The Army assured the public that it would continue to pursue the remaining Chibok girls and other hostages held by Boko Haram until they are all freed.
