The tool was able to guess the passwords of the other person with 93% accuracy on Zoom and 91.7% accuracy on Skype.
The study shows that AI can pose a serious threat to cybersecurity, as hackers can use it to spy on people’s online activities and steal their personal data.
The researchers suggest some possible countermeasures, such as using keyboards that produce less distinctive sounds or masking the sound of typing with background noise.
