Mallam Habeeb Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Alphajejeagba, has revealed his love for football as Lionel Messi is his favorite player.
Alphajejeagba said, in an exclusive interview with www.Pristinegist.com that he loves watching football when he is less busy. He said, “I am a football fan, I love watching football in my leisure time, I do watch it in my house.”
He revealed that Lionel Messi is his favorite player and he started loving Messi the day he joined Barcelona he stopped watching Barcelona as Messi left the team.
He ascertained that he loves the spirit of humanity, selflessness, teamwork, and simplicity of Messi on and off the pitch.
“Messi is simple, he does care about the success of others( he has the highest assist), and he is not selfish on the pitch. Quran says: “whatever you are doing for others, you are doing it for yourself”. I could remember one season that Ronaldo was leading goal chat in La Liga with 37, Suarez 36, and Messi 35. During a game a penalty was awarded to Barcelona, Messi took the ball and passed it to Suarez to score so that Suarez will be the highest goal scorer. He got another chance he did pass to Suarez to score. At the end of the season, Messi won the highest go scorer of the season.”
He advised other footballers and individuals to emulate his spirit of simplicity, humanity, selflessness, and the togetherness of Messi.
He concluded that he wished Argentina to win this World Cup, Qatar 2022, because of his love for Messi. He promised, “if Argentina wins this World Cup I promised to frame Messi’s picture and put it in my house.”
