Former Nigerian Vice President and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has written a message of congratulations to Anthony Joshua, who defeated former world heavyweight champion Jermaine Franklin on Saturday.
After the 12th round, Joshua was declared the winner by three judges with scores of 118-111, 117-111, and 117-111.
In a statement on his Twitter account, Atiku praised the boxer and said: “Congratulations to Anthony Joshua on the impressive victory over Jermaine Franklin by a unanimous decision. This is a testament to your hard work, dedication, and skill. Keep shining.”
