The comedian announced the sad news to the public via his Instagram page yesterday, December 22, 2022.
He noted that the conclusion was made after many considerations by the two sides and solicited that the public respect their privacy.
“As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation. After much deliberation, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need. We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times. Thank you.”
Basket mouth had, in 2003, met Elsie at the University of Lagos during the promotion of his hit show ‘Basketmouth Uncensored.’ His entrepreneur wife Elsie was at the time a student of the school.
