The Ward Executives of Bambam Ward in the state’s Balanga Local Government Area suspended Bulus Amos, the senator who represents Gombe South Federal Constituency.

Muhammad Kaka, the ward chairman, had claimed that the five-person committee on anti-party actions will be formed to investigate the Senate Vice Chairman on the Niger Delta Committee.

Amos Manasseh Felix’s personal assistant refuted this claim by pointing out how much the senator has contributed to the party’s victories at the zonal and state levels.

Confirming the recent development in a press statement made available to journalists on Saturday, the party’s Publicity Secretary, Moses Kyari, said the suspension came about as a result of a petition written from his ward which caused a five-man committee of the ward to investigate Amos within two weeks timeframe.

Kyari disclosed that upon invitation the senator failed to exonerate himself from the charges levelled against himself by the committee.

He said, “The committee invited the Senator who could not defend himself from the allegations hence, the committee recommended his suspension and eventual expulsion from the party. The order of suspension takes effect from today Saturday, April 8 2023.”
