Breaking News: Unlawful Meeting Poses Threat to FIBSA Stability

In a special release, the Federation of Ibarapa Student Association (FIBSA) Senate Council has raised alarms about an unauthorized meeting scheduled for Sunday, 28th January, 2024, at Igboora.

However, the meeting, allegedly orchestrated by key political figures, aims to manipulate FIBSA for their political gains.

Individuals involved in the questionable agenda include Mr. Atiku from Igboora, Mr. Banaba from Eruwa, Onifade Gbenga from Iganagan, Ogunjimi Gbenga from Tapa, Ayandele Ayuba, Victor Olojede, and Michael Adelakun. The Senate Council accuses them of attempting to use FIBSA as a political tool, jeopardizing its autonomy.

Victor Olojede, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Students’ Matters, confirmed the meeting but distanced himself, promising to call the others involved to order.

The Senate Council warns that these individuals, who are no longer students, have a history of disruptive behavior spanning nearly a decade.

The alleged plan includes forming an electoral body for a self-proclaimed election, an act deemed unauthorized by the Senate Council.

In response, the Senate Council declares any outcomes from this meeting as illegal and unconstitutional, emphasizing that it will not affect the association. The public is urged to stay vigilant against these attempts to compromise FIBSA’s integrity.
