The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Destiny Enabulele was sacked as the representative for the Ovia South West seat in the Edo state House of Assembly by the Benin Election Petition Tribunal.
The All Progressives Congress’ (APC) Sunday Aghedo was proclaimed by the judiciary as the rightful winner of the March 15, 2023, election.
Aghedo questioned the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) announcement of Enabulele as the election’s winner.
The panel declared that numerous anomalies and malpractices had occurred during the election.
The tribunal further stated that Aghedo and the APC’s evidence had greater credibility.
