The Executive president of Nigeria, Muhammad Buhari has promised the All Progressive Congress (APC)governors to resolve the cash scarcity.

The president said he will resolve the current new note problem facing Nigeria within seven days.

Today, at the presidential villa the APC governors raised alarming waves surrounding the whole country–the scarcity of cash.

The governors told the president that they are the leaders of the party and they are highly concerned with the effect of the cash scarcity on the country’s economy and came to seek an urgent solution.

The president while responding to the demand of the governors affirmed that the new currency will give a boost to the economy and will provide long-term benefits to the nation but some commercial banks are inefficient and are only concerned about themselves.

He expressed further that, even if a year is given, problems associated with selfishness will still have their way.

However, he told the citizens to give him seven days to fix the problem.

The governors lamented to the president that they agreed with the president’s decision to renew the currency and give their support because they considered it a good policy but the implementation has been affecting their constituencies.

They told the president that, they are the party leaders of their corresponding states and were becoming very curious and anxious about a slump in the economy and also concerned over its effects on the upcoming elections.

They, therefore, asked the president to use his executive power to ensure the free flow of the new currency across the country.
