Chelsea Urged to Make Move for Napoli Star Victor Osimhen

Former Aston Villa captain, Gabby Agbonlahor, has urged Chelsea to bolster their attack by acquiring Napoli striker Victor Osimhen during the summer transfer window.

Agbonlahor believes that Chelsea’s chances of securing a top-four finish in the upcoming Premier League season will be significantly hindered if they fail to sign Osimhen.

Despite already securing the signings of forwards Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, Agbonlahor insists that Chelsea still require a prominent striker to enhance their attacking prowess.

In an interview with Football Insider, he stated, “They [Chelsea] still need a proper striker. Victor Osimhen would be a great addition, but the reported price tag of around £170 million is exorbitant.”

Agbonlahor, however, emphasized the necessity for Chelsea to strengthen their squad further, citing the overall improvement of competing teams. He expressed his belief that teams such as Villa and Brighton will pose greater challenges in the upcoming season, making it more arduous for Chelsea to secure a coveted top-four position.

Considering the significant financial investment Chelsea has made, Agbonlahor emphasized that achieving a top-four finish should be the minimum expectation for the club.

With these insightful comments, Agbonlahor has sparked discussions among football enthusiasts regarding Chelsea’s transfer strategy and their prospects for the upcoming season.

As the transfer window progresses, fans eagerly await to see if Chelsea will heed Agbonlahor’s advice and make a move for Victor Osimhen, or if they have alternative plans to strengthen their strike force.
