The College Of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) has directed it’s members to join Nigeria Labour Congress NLC and Trader Union Congress TUC indefinite strike over minimum wage.
This was made known through memo released and signed by the general secretary, Dr. Ahmad Bazza Lawan.

DIRECTIVE TO PARTICIPATE FULLY IN NLCTUC INDEFINITE NATIONWIDE STRIKE ACTION ON NEW NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE
The National Secretariat of our great Union has received the directive of the National Executive Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) calling out all affiliates of the Labour Center total indefinite nationwide strike action in collaboration with the Trade Union Congress. The strike action hegins on Monday, 3d June, 2024 o drive home our collective demand for a new national minimum wage.
Therefore. all members of our great Union are hereby directed to participate fully in the strike action accordingly as from Monday. June, 2024. For the avoidance of members are to stay away from the workplace and boycott all official responsibilities and functions while the strike action lasts.
