The Special offences and domestic violence court in Lagos has sentenced Femi Olaleye, managing director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, to life imprisonment for raping his wife’s niece.
The judgement was delivered on Tuesday by Rahman Oshodi.
Olaleye was found guilty by the judge on two counts, defiling a 16-year-old child and sexual assault by penetration.
The victim was raped, in Justice’s opinion, and was made to suck his manhood under forced consideration.
In his opinion, the victim’s and the examiner’s testimony was credible. The judge also stated that there was sufficient evidence against Olaleye based on his confessional testimony and the emails and WhatsApp chats he exchanged with his wife.
Justice Oshodi further found that the statement and undertaking the defendant prepared and signed at the Anthony Police Station with his NBA seal with his attorney Olalekan Buruji demonstrated that he had raped the girl and made her suck his manhood.
