Democracy Day: FG Declares June 12 Public Holiday
The Federal Government has declared Monday, June 12, 2023, Public Holiday in commemoration of this year’s Democracy Day.
In a declaration issued Thursday in Abuja, the Permanent Secretary withinside the Ministry of Interior, Dr Oluwatoyin Akinlade who asserted on behalf of the Federal Government, congratulated all Nigerians at the event.
She said; “Nigeria’s democratic adventure has, like in lots of different climes, encountered each stormy and clean sails, however, the delivery of State, its establishments and maximum importantly, the Nigerian humans have remained steadfast at the tenets of democratic governance.
“On this memorable event therefore, Nigerians and pals of Nigeria are invited to realize the development that has been made, have a good time with the milestones included and sit up for a higher destiny for the country’s democracy.
“The Permanent Secretary desires all Nigerians a Happy Democracy Day celebration”.
