The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the arrest of twin brothers, Taiwo and Kehinde Adio, and five other suspects for their alleged involvement in internet fraud.

The EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, said in a statement on Thursday that the suspects were apprehended on Dec. 7, at Apete and Apata areas of Ibadan, following intelligence reports.

He identified the five other suspects as Jeremiah Gabi, Dennis Gomina, Adepoju Ibukun, Olabode Opeyemi and Adewumi Ayomide.

He also said that the Oyo State Police Command handed over three more suspects to the EFCC on the same day, after arresting them on patrol.

However, he said that one of them was found to be innocent and was released without any bail condition, while the other two, Joseph Isaac Justice and Ayoola Oluwatosin, were being investigated.

He said that the EFCC recovered a Toyota Corolla car, an iPhone 11, and two Samsung mobile phones from the nine suspects, and that they would be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are concluded.
