Erosion Crisis: KWASU Bridge Collapse Impacts Daily Commuters

 

Pristinegist report that the bridge connecting the expressway to Kwara State University (KWASU) has suffered a complete collapse due to severe erosion.

The incident occurred earlier today, 19th of July 2023, leaving commuters stranded and significantly impacting movement between KWASU and the nearby town.

However, residents who rely on this vital route for their daily commute have urgently appealed to the Kwara State government for swift intervention.

The sudden failure of the bridge has also raised concerns among the affected community members, as it disrupts not only the university’s activities but also the town’s connectivity to the institution.

 

Some individuals in the place today said,  “Without immediate action, the situation could lead to further inconvenience and potential risks for the region’s residents.”
