Ex-Pro Squash Tournament Final: Organizers Praise Kwara Governor, Bola Mogaji, and Taiwo Awoniyi

Ilorin, August 17, 2024 – The organizers of the Nigerian Ex-Pro 5th Squash Tournament have commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, along with Bola Mogaji, Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, and Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi, for their unwavering support and contributions towards the success of the tournament.

The final matches, held today in Ilorin, highlighted the international standard of the new squash courts in the state, a testament to the governor’s commitment to sports development.

The Ex-Pro organizers lauded Governor Abdulrazaq for his consistent backing of sports in Kwara State, even going so far as to describe him as the most sports-loving governor in Nigeria. His administration’s investment in world-class facilities has not only uplifted the standard of local sports but also positioned Kwara State as a key hub for sporting events in the country.

Bola Mogaji was also recognized for his relentless efforts in advancing sports from the grassroots level up to the present. His leadership at the Kwara State Sports Commission has played a pivotal role in nurturing young talent and fostering a vibrant sports culture in the state.

Under 11 Girls Final: Shetemi Adekunle (Kwara) defeated Suzan Balogun (Kwara) 3-1 (11/6, 10/12, 11/7, 11/9).
Under 11 Boys Final: Al Ameen Oshodi (Lagos) triumphed over David Imebong (Jesc/Bayelsa) 3-0 (11/5, 11/6, 11/7).
Under 13 Girls Final: Loveth Balogun (Kwara) bested Grace Gana (Kwara) 3-1 (8/11, 11/7, 11/8, 11/6).
Under 13 Boys Final: Lanre Yusuf (Lagos) outplayed Daniel Awe (Oyo) 3-0 (11/8, 11/5, 11/7).
Under 17 Girls Final: Aishat Abdulraheem (Kwara) edged past Khadijat Abdulraheem (Kwara) 3-2 (11/8, 11/13, 11/8, 7/11, 11/7).
Under 17 Boys Final: Matthew Yusuf (Lagos) overcame Benjamin Monday (Head Water Academy) 3-1 (11/6, 9/11, 11/7, 11/9).
