GOAT EATER KILLS NEIGHBOUR IN COLD BLOOD!
A man has been arrested for allegedly murdering his neighbour over a goat that ate his dried yam in Ogun State.
The victim, Lukmon Ajibola, was a motorcycle rider who reared goats to supplement his income. He was attacked by the suspect, Kolawole Akinsanya, and his hired thugs on Monday, February 5, around 8pm.
According to eyewitnesses, Akinsanya was enraged when he saw one of Ajibola’s goats eating his dried yam in his compound. He grabbed the animal and beat it to death. Ajibola confronted him over his cruel act, which led to a heated argument. Akinsanya then called some hoodlums who joined him in assaulting Ajibola. They also poured alcohol into his ears, leaving him unconscious.
Ajibola was rushed to Zion Hospital in Ilepa, where he was referred to the State Hospital Otta. He died three days later from his injuries.
The police have arrested Akinsanya and detained him at the Ogun State Police Command headquarters in Abeokuta. However, his accomplices, who are identified as Chicago, Agbara and ID, are still at large.
The family of the deceased has accused the police of trying to cover up the case and demanded justice. They claimed that Akinsanya’s colleagues were raising money to bail him out and prevent the arrest of the other suspects.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident and said efforts were being made to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
