Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq joined His Royal Highness Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-gambari on Thursday to congratulate Imam Soliu Basheer, the chief Imam of Ilorin at Ilorin Central Mosque.
Today at the Central Mosque Ilorin, I joined His Royal Highness the Emir of Ilorin Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, and the Muslim community in the state for an event commemorating the 40th anniversary of the turbaning of the Chief Imam of Ilorin Sheikh Muhammad Basheer Soliu (OON).
A respected scholar and quintessential community leader, the Chief Imam has been a strong advocate for peace, development, and religious harmony in our state.
I pray Allah to grant Sheikh Muhammad Basheer long life and good health in the task of guiding the ummah on the straight path. Aamin.
