Governor AbdulRazaq Nominates Commissioners, Seeks Approval

 

Kwara State House of Assembly has recently received an executive communication from the state Governor, His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, requesting the confirmation of twenty (20) Commissioner-nominees.

The list comprises of individuals from diverse backgrounds, each nominated to play crucial roles in the governance and development of the state.

According to a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, the Governor is also seeking legislative approval for the appointment of ten (10) Special Advisers, who will collaborate with the administration to address various challenges and implement key policies in the state.

The Commissioner-nominees include Hon. Yusuf Atoyebi Musa, Mr. Gidado Alakawa, Mrs. Florence Oyeyemi, Hon. Aliyu Wahab Opakunle, Arch. Aliyu Mohammed Saifudeen, Hon. Abdulgafar Olayemi Ayinla, Barr. Sulyman Ibrahim, Jumoke Gafar, Engr. Isaac Mathew, Dr. Halimat Ibrahim, Pharmacist Baki Abdullahi, Mr. Rafiu Ajakaye, Mr. Raphael Adetiba, Mrs. Saba Maryam, Mr. Aliyu Kora Sabi, and Mr. Kola Oyawoye.

However, the Honourable House has assured the public that they will diligently attend to His Excellency’s request in due course. The confirmation of the Commissioner-nominees and the approval of Special Advisers are essential steps in strengthening the state government and its commitment to fulfilling the aspirations and needs of the people.
