Graduate Dies in Auto Crash Two Weeks After Final Exam

 

A young lady, Confidence Ogar Enya, who recently graduated from the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), Calabar campus, has lost her life in a fatal road accident.

 

Confidence, who was in her 20s, graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering on September 28, 2023.

 

She was travelling back to Calabar from her hometown in Ikom when her vehicle crashed along the Calabar-Ikom highway by Northwest fuel station in Odukpani Local Government Area on Monday, October 16, 2023, around 7 pm.

 

She had taken to Facebook on September 28, to celebrate her graduation and thank God for his grace.

 

“God did it… Thank you, Jesus, it wasn’t easy. #B.Eng Civil Engineering,” she posted.

 

Her death has left her friends, colleagues, classmates, and family members in shock and grief.

 

They have taken to social media to mourn her and pay tribute to her memory.

 

A friend, Rhoda Edoki wrote: “This one hit me R.I.P beautiful confidence,”

 

Janet Nkwa wrote: “What a cruel world. After all the suffering I can’t believe aunty confidence as I normally call u, u r no more. I can’t hold back my tears seeing this. Why those death have to take u now after graduation it’s not fair. Confidence Ogar Enya. Rest in peace”
