How I Feigned My Kidnap To Get Money From My Parents

In a shocking turn of events, a teenager and his friends have been arrested for faking his own kidnap in order to defraud his parents of N2m in Delta State.

The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Bright Edafe, made the announcement on Twitter.

According to Edafe, the suspect, identified as Ade Segun, had planned the fake kidnap alongside two of his friends, Precious and Nonso.

They then called Ade’s parents and demanded the sum of N2m as ransom.

The parents, understandably distressed, reported the incident to the police station in Warri.

An undercover policewoman then played along with the kidnappers, pretending to pay the ransom money.

When the police arrived at the location, they laid an ambush and arrested one of the suspects, Precious, who had come to pick up the money.

He then led the police to the hideout where Ade and his other friend were arrested.

Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed that the entire kidnap was planned in order to defraud Ade’s parents of N2m.

The police have since taken the suspects into custody and are conducting further investigations into the matter.

This incident has once again highlighted the need for parents to be vigilant and cautious when it comes to their children’s activities.

It is also a reminder that crime does not pay and that those who engage in such activities will eventually be caught and brought to justice.
