How Police Slapped Me And Withdrew N390k From My Account – Man
A man identified as Oseni Qasim Olusegun (JQ) has alleged that he was extorted to N390,000 by some police officers in Lagos State.
He narrated his ordeal on social media, saying that he and his friend were stopped by the police at the front of his estate at the cemetery waec office along Igbogbo Road by 11:00 pm on November 25, 2023.
He said that they were searched and nothing incriminating was found on them, but the police officers accused them of being cultists because of his friend’s tattoo.
He said that he was slapped and handcuffed, and forced to sit in the back seat of his car, while two police officers joined him.
He said that his friend was thrown inside their bus, and they drove them to the way bridge along mile 12, where they threatened to shoot him.
He said that his phone was unlocked with his Face ID, and the officer with his phone went straight to his banking apps and made him withdraw N1.5 million from his piggy vest account to his FCMB account.
He said that they tried to transfer N1 million from his FCMB account, but it did not go through because of the daily limit, so they made him transfer N390,000 in smaller amounts to a midpoint account belonging to mummy T Ventures.
He said that they could not withdraw the remaining N1.1 million from his FCMB account because the OTP was not sent to his number, probably due to network issues.
He said that he could not make any video or report because they were on his phones, but he recognized their faces and said that they were from the Ipakodo police station.
He said that he was still traumatized and needed his money back, as it was supposed to be added to his rent money.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, reacted to his post and asked him to send his phone number via direct message.
