Nigerian rap prodigy Blaqbonez has reacted to Wizkid’s comments directed at Nigerian rappers.
Nigerian superstar Wizkid had, in an interview with 10 Magazine, said that he doesn’t listen to rap as the genre was dead. He further stated that he’s bored by the similarity in beat and style.
The statement brought reactions from Nigerian rappers, with the likes of M.I, YCee, and Oladips expressing their displeasure at the Grammy winner.
After previously staying silent on the issue, Blaqbonez would finally air his views as he revealed he is disheartened and hurt by the comments.
In a post on his official Twitter handle on Monday, 5th December 2022, Blaqbonez stated that it’s common knowledge that he’s a huge Wizkid fan. While he was not worried by the content of the interview, it was the later posts on Snapchat that hurt him.
