I’m A Pure Yoruba Man From Nigeria – Emmanuel Adebayor

 

A former footballer who played for Togo has revealed his true origin, saying he is a pure Yoruba man from Nigeria.

 

He spoke to journalists at the birthday party of one of Nigeria’s football legends, Jay-Jay Okocha, who turned 50 over the weekend.

 

He said his parents were both Nigerians and he was born and raised in Togo. Also,  he gave his full name as Adeyi Adebayor Eniola Adekani.

 

The birthday celebration of Okocha, a former Super Eagles captain and midfielder, was attended by many African football stars in Lagos.

 

Some of the Nigerian legends who graced the occasion were Peter Rufai, Daniel Amokachi, Emmanuel Emenike, Ifeanyi Udeze, Julius Aghahowa, Joseph Yobo, and others.
