Imo Governor, Uzodimma Fulfils Promise, Pays N10,000 “Allowee’ To Corps Members

 

Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, kept his word by providing ten thousand naira (#10,000) for the maintenance of Corps personnel stationed there.

The Governor, who earlier gave his permission, stated that his administration continues to place a high focus on the wellbeing of the Corps members.

Gov. Uzoimma asserted that better welfare would encourage Corps members to perform at their highest level, thus enhancing their contribution to the growth of the State and the country as a whole.

Throughout their service year, His Excellency urged them to remain committed, disciplined, and resourceful.

The delighted Corps Members pledged to live up to expectations, bring and attract the necessary development to their host towns after receiving the newly raised State stipend.

Iyoyo Celina, a Corps Member with Stste code IM/22B/0526 who works in the secretariat, said in an interview that the N10,000 will go a long way toward helping her get the necessities for her monthly upkeeps.

Iyoyo expressed her gratitude to Sen. Hope Uzodimma and His Excellency for this outstanding act.

Similar to Makanjuola Mathew, who is assigned to the Owerri Municipal Local Government Area of the State and has the Cide No. IM/22C/1493, the governor of Imo State was deeply appreciated for helping the Corps Members stationed there.

Makanjuola went on to promise that on behalf of the other corps members, they would repay this act of kindness by giving their all in the host communities and Places of Primary Assignment that they were sent to.

The State Coordinator, NYSC Imo State, Mrs Rachel Idaewor also commended Gov. Hope Uzodimma, the youth-friendly Governor of the State for this wonderful gift to the Corps Members.

This move will greatly help the corpers discharged their duties to the people of the state, she said.
