JUST-IN: Everton Handed New Points Deduction For Breaching Premier League Rules

Premier League club side, Everton, has been hit with a two-point deduction for another breach of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Everton and Nottingham Forest were accused of violating PSR regulations for a duration that concluded with the 2022–2023 season in January.

Forest has appealed the judgment after receiving a four-point deduction.

Before the points reduction was revealed, the team was four points above the bottom three in the Premier League standings, sitting in 15th place.

They now sit two points and two places above Luton in 18th place, two points and two places below Brentford in 16th place with 27 points.

Everton was also docked 10 points in November for accruing £19.5 million more in losses than allowed during the season that ended in 2021–2022, a penalty that was later lowered to six points after a successful appeal.
