JUST-IN: Former Anambra Deputy Speaker Slumps, Dies While Exercising

Former deputy speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Harford Oseke, slumped and died while exercising.

At the age of 64, Oseke allegedly passed away on Monday, August 19.

According to reports, the former lawmaker fell while working out at Awka’s Alex Ekwueme Square on a daily basis.

As soon as the action was over, Oseke was declared dead, and witnesses said there was nothing more that could be done to save his life.

Since then, his body has been placed in the Apex Medical Centre in Awka.

Oseke was a native of Umuawulu, in the State’s Awka South local government area. He was born in August 1960.

Oseke, a law graduate, just finished his doctorate in public administration.

Aside from politics, the former congressman was well-known in Port Harcourt’s freight forwarding sector and actively participated in the importation of fishing food into Nigeria.

He was a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and contested for a seat in the Anambra State House of Assembly.

He also served as the Majority Leader before ascending to the position of Deputy Speaker in the Anambra State House of Assembly.
