The Kwara State Athletics Association during the week held a day seminar to sensitize the athletes against doping.
The seminar was titled “Creating Awareness of paradigm shift in changing narrative of Kwara State athletes to say no to performance enhancement drug: the way forward.
Witnessed by top Sports personalities in the State, the event had on had over 120 participants who were taken through the series manifestation of doping by the resource person and ways on how avoid it.
Resource person at the event was Pharmacist Ayorinde who dwelled on the ethics of sports, health consequences of doping, doping control, anti doping rules violation, result management and sanctions.
The event was witnessed by dignitaries like Coach Bolakale Magaji; the executive Chairman Kwara State Sport Commission, Mallam Hammed Adio, an Olympian and Board Chairman of Kwara Television.
