In a significant move to bolster the welfare and efficiency of the judicial system in Kwara State, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has presented 12 top-of-the-range Toyota vehicles to judges, including the Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Abiodun Ayodele Adebara.

The presentation ceremony, held at the State High Court in Ilorin, marked a notable enhancement in the state government’s commitment to ensuring the comfort and effectiveness of its judiciary.

The Chief Judge expressed gratitude for the governor’s swift response to the judiciary’s needs, highlighting the importance of the new vehicles in facilitating the judges’ duties across the state.

Earlier in February, five Toyota Fortuner Jeeps were allocated to judges as part of the 2023 budget allocation, while an additional five were provided under the 2024 budget.

Furthermore, Governor AbdulRazaq released seven vehicles, including six for newly appointed judges and one for the Chief Judge’s office, in accordance with the requirements set by the National Judicial Council (NJC) for judge appointments.

The Chief Judge commended Governor AbdulRazaq for his proactive approach to prioritizing the judiciary’s needs, noting that the last time judges received vehicles from the government was eight years ago.

He emphasized the significance of providing new vehicles to enhance the judges’ mobility, job efficiency, and the dignity of their office.

The gesture underscores the state government’s commitment to supporting the judiciary’s vital role in upholding justice and the rule of law in Kwara State. With the provision of modern and reliable vehicles, the judiciary is poised to carry out its duties effectively, thereby bolstering public confidence in the justice system.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration continues to demonstrate its dedication to promoting good governance, transparency, and efficiency across various sectors, further solidifying its reputation as a proactive and responsive government in Kwara State.
