Kwara State Government and Sports Commission’s Final Salute: Program Details for P.A. G.B. Ladipo’s Farewell

 

In a heartfelt gesture of respect and homage, the Kwara State Government led by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasak in collaboration with the Kwara State Sports Commission, has finalized arrangements to bid farewell to the esteemed veteran sports administrator, P.A. G.B. Ladipo, who served as the first Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Council.

According to Mallam Bola Magaji, the Executive Chairman of the Sports Commission, the funeral arrangements have been generously sponsored by the state government and the Sports Commission, reflecting the profound impact Ladipo had on the sports community.

The series of events to honor his memory will commence on Friday, May 1, with a Service of Songs at his residence at 4 pm. Subsequently, a Commendation Service is scheduled at the UMCATC Chapel on May 2 at 4 pm, followed by a Lying in State and Wake-Keep at the Kwara State Stadium complex from 3 pm to 5 pm on the same day.

The climax of the commemorative events will be the Funeral Service held on May 4 at UMCATC Chapel at 11 am, with a reception to follow at Acra Santa Events place.

Finally, a Thanksgiving Service will be held on May 5 at 9 am at the UMCATC Chapel, offering a moment of gratitude and reflection on the life and legacy of P.A. G.B. Ladipo.
