Kwara State Government Distributes Food Palliatives to People Living with Disabilities

In a significant effort to support vulnerable communities, Kwara State Government on Wednesday distributed food palliatives from the federal government at the Blind Colony (Koro-Afoju) in Ilorin. This initiative is part of the state’s ongoing commitment to aid those in need.

The distribution, managed by the Kwara State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) in line with federal directives, follows the recent commencement of a broader food relief program. On Saturday, the state began distributing 17,578 50kg bags of maize, sorghum, and millet to support vulnerable citizens across the region.

Representatives of the Koro-Afoju community, Mohammadu Sanni and Moshuru, expressed their gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his continued support. “We appreciate His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for giving us palliatives here in Koro-Afoju. He provided us with rice, semo, and sugar during Ramadan, and now we are receiving bags of maize, millet, and sorghum,” said Moshuru. “We thank the Governor for always including us in his plans.”

Governor AbdulRazaq’s administration has been recognized for its dedication to improving the welfare of the state’s residents, particularly those most in need. This latest distribution underscores the government’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that all citizens, especially the most vulnerable, receive necessary support.
