Man Commits Suicide After Demolition Of His Hotel By Youths

A devastating incident occurred in Anambra State, where a hotelier, Malachy Chukwu, committed suicide after his hotel was demolished by suspected youths from the Ifite-Nteje community. The tragic event has sparked protests from the Divine Heaven Amalgamated Landlords Association, who demand intervention from Governor Charles Soludo to prevent further destruction and chaos.

The association claims that their properties, worth billions, were demolished by a group claiming to be the Ifite-Nteje Development Union’s executive members. The landlords argue that they legally acquired the land and developed the properties, only to have them destroyed. They appeal for the governor’s help to resolve the issue and prevent further loss of life and property.

The Ifite-Nteje land management committee acknowledges the legitimate acquisition of land by the developers but promises to investigate the matter. However, the secretary of the committee, Ngoesina Okechukwu, a lawyer, dismisses the allegations as an attempt by meddlesome interlopers to cause chaos.

The tragic incident and ongoing protests highlight the urgent need for a resolution to the land dispute in Ifite-Nteje, Anambra State.
