Mohbad’s Billboard on Times Square Honors His Legacy After His Tragic Death

The late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has been honored with a billboard on Times Square in New York City. The billboard, which was displayed on Broadway Times Square, showed a picture of the artist and a message that read: “Will be remembered forever Mohbad. Legend are never forgotten. R.I.P.”

The billboard appeared nine days after Mohbad’s controversial death, which sparked a global outcry from his fans and supporters. They demanded a thorough investigation into the circumstances of his passing and justice for the Imole star.

Mohbad, who was signed to Naira Marley’s Marlian Music label, was known for his hit songs such as “Koma Jensun”, “Ponmo Sweet”, and “Feel Good”. He was also featured on the soundtrack of the Netflix movie “Citation”, which was directed by Kunle Afolayan.

With his posthumous appearance on Times Square, Mohbad has joined the ranks of other Nigerian celebrities who have been featured on the iconic billboard, such as Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, and Tems. These artists have been making waves in the international music scene and showcasing the diversity and richness of Nigerian culture.
