Mohbad’s Mother Reveals Singer’s Fear Of Kidnap, Last Moments Before Death

The mother of the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has opened up on the singer’s fear of kidnap and his last moments before his death.

Mrs Promise Aloba said that Mohbad was always worried that she would be kidnapped because of his fame and wealth. She said that he rented an apartment and wanted to set up a business for her in Ikorodu, Lagos State, but she refused to stay there because of her fear.

Also, she revealed how Mohbad and his wife persuaded her to stay with them in their house due to the trauma he was going through. She said that he was having difficulty sleeping and breathing and that they often reported to the police station.

Mrs Aloba said that she spent 10 days with Mohbad without knowing that he would die soon. She said that she left his house on Saturday, September 16, 2023, and that he died on Monday, September 18, 2023. Also, she said that he begged her not to leave, but he let her go when she told him to go to church. She said that he did not give her any money because he wanted her to stay.

Mohbad died about two weeks ago, and controversy has surrounded his death. The authorities exhumed his corpse to investigate the cause of his death. Mohbad was a popular singer who rose to fame with his hit songs such as “Koma Jensun”, “Ponmo Sweet” and “Sorry”. He was signed to Naira Marley’s Marlian Music label.
