The managing director of KAB Constructions Limited and a Nigerian philanthropist, Dr. Kehinde Alex Bankole has revealed how he lost his first-ever proposed estate in Lagos State.
Today, In an exclusive interview with Pristinegist Dr. Bankole said some unknown soldiers hijacked his landed property.
Dr. KAB said, “it is exactly 9 years ago that I lost my first proposed estate to some Soldiers whose figure we could not ascertain.”
He narrated, “it was a day that the devil wanted to steal my joy and destroy my dream of becoming an estate owner in Lagos State but God put me through.”
Dr. Bankole expressed further that the soldiers took over the site and about four adjoining developments.
He continued, “they caused a lot of panics, they were led by one man, who is now late, a foremost town planner, Dr. Femi Olomola, who said he was holding a brief for a retired Army General.
“What could have happened? Did we buy fake land? the answers are No!
“Being a fastidious person, I had everything done correctly but when Nigeria wants to happen to you only God can put you through.
“Some Civil Servants had gone to clone the original title document and allocated it to Rashmoleed who sold to so many of us, including the famous R and B singers P-square and many celebrities, Redeemed church are not left out”.
“I acquired the land of approximately 35,000 sqmtrs from Rashmoleed Nigeria Limited at over 200 million nairas in the year 2014, to develop it into an estate and sell to our already subscribers.
“We had started selling off plan takers with so many demands being placed on it.
“The estate was also named LEKKI COURTS which is my brand name and duly registered with its trademark.
“We already had about 14 units of terraces – going with serious constructions ongoing at the said site.”
The managing director also stated, “it was a terrible situation, My subscribers understood and were quite sympathetic.”
He buttressed further that his life savings went just down like that in the year 2014–9 years ago
However, he revealed “All the money I had made as a contractor and builder for the majority of estate owners in Lagos and Nigeria just went down the drain.
“Before we venture into developing my estate, I was the major builder and contractor for GTRICH INVESTMENT AND DEVELOPER OF LEKKI GARDENS.
“I was constructing well for over 400 units of terraces for the company at various sites, some of which were Lekki Garden phase 2, Horrizon 1 at Ikate, Horrizon at Nike Art Gallery Ikate, Horrizon Heights at Chevron drive, Lekki Gardens behind Oluwanisola Castle Ikota Lekki.
“I was also handling a lot of projects for Agile 3, the owner of Discovery Gardens at Isheri, also Imperial homes, owned by the present Ooni Of Ife.
The experienced contractor and builder thank God and the good people around him.
“I lost millions and billions. If you don’t know my stories you may not know where I am coming from. I overcame it and here I am to the glory of God, he added.
“I have paid my dues…
