Nigerian man plunges to death from 16th floor during drug bust

A Nigerian man, identified as Dan, died after jumping out of the window from the 16th floor of a condominium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, during a police raid on Wednesday. The police were acting on a tip-off from the public about suspected drug trafficking activities at the premises.

According to Assistant Commissioner Razlam, the head of the narcotics division, Dan was startled when he saw the police at the door and ran back into the unit, locking the grilles behind him. The police had to break the door to enter the unit, where they found two other Nigerian men inside.

One of them attempted to escape, but was caught by the police on the 8th floor of the building. The other one was arrested without resistance. The police also seized various drugs, such as ecstasy and syabu, from the unit, which was rented by the foreigners.

The police are investigating the case under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. The Nigerian embassy has been notified of the incident and the death of Dan.
