Osun APC Demands Clarity On Governor Adeleke’s Whereabouts, Health Status

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has urged the State Government to disclose the whereabouts and health status of Governor Ademola Adeleke, who has been away from the state for over a month.

The APC, in a statement by its Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, and Media Director, Kola Olabisi, on Monday, accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led administration of withholding information on the governor’s mission outside the country and deceiving the public with contradicting reasons.

The statement said that the governor’s absence was a matter of public interest, as he was failing to perform his constitutional duties and provide quality governance for the people of Osun State. It also mocked the governor’s dancing style, saying that it could have caused him health problems.

The PDP, however, dismissed the APC’s allegations as baseless and said that the governor was on a vacation to relax and recharge after working hard for a year. The PDP Chairman, Sunday Bisi, and Media Director, Oladele Bamiji, in a statement on Monday, said that the governor had no health challenges and was still coordinating his team from his vacation.

They said that the governor had launched the implementation of a multi-billion infra plan project and that the people of Osun State could see the ongoing work at Oke-fia – Lameco Junction. They added that the governor would return this week and continue to deliver dividends of democracy and good governance. They described the APC as a shadow-chasing party and said that the Adeleke governorship was the best for the state.
